February 2009 - Opening Act for
EDGUY in Argentina
Product
of the success in the band's tour and the ambition
of their Tour Manager Luciferian's Edixon Sepulveda,
the band gets the opportunity of being the first
Colombian band to ever open for an International gig
in Argentina. The show was great, and the
Argentinian public got to know the band's work. |

January 2009 - TRANSCENDING gets
released
The
work of 3 years, and the sacrifices done in 2008
give fruit when in the city of Sucre(Bolivia) the
band received the copies of their second LP
TRANSCENDING. Mixed by Germán Villacorta(Ozzy
Osbourne, Rolling Stones, Zack Wilde). Transcending
is heavier, more authentic and progressive, it seeks
to Transcend in the actual Metal Scene, and as
Revealed got them in the position they have
nationally, this album is meant to lead them to the
European, American and Japanese Scene. |

January 2009 - Crossing the
Lands SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR
2009 receives
the band with their first Tour, and with their first
time stepping out of the country as a Band. Of more
than 30 dates programmed along 6 countries consisted
this Odissey that was about to begin. Several
difficulties had to confront the band like sleeping
in the streets, in the Argentinian Frontier because
of a problem of custom. Finally the band had to
enter Argentina without Instruments and borrow them
with the opening bands. In spite of adversity the
tour was a total sucess and now more than 3000
thousand people in South America got to know the
band. |

August 2008 - Nelson sings The
Phantom of the Opera with TARJA
TURUNEN
In the concert
of the Finnish ex-Nightwish artist, part of the tour
in which she traveled with artists such as Kiko
Loureiro(Angra), Mike Terrana, Doug Wimbish(Rolling
Stones, Living Colour) and Max Lilja(Apocalyptica).
Nelson was chosen by the promoter and Tarja's
management to sing in duet with her the classic THE
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA that years ago made the band
Nightwish famous. |

February 2008 - Opening Act for
IRON MAIDEN
Days before de
concert the band got a lot of fire by the die hard
fans of Iron Maiden, and by the fans of more classic/traditional/dark
bands that weren't chosen, and the soundcheck in
front of the venue half filled was relly hard and
the people were reluctant to give an opportunity to
the band. But when the show started, all the
skeptical were turned to silence, and even when they
played only 8 minutes the people got warmed up and
supported the band as can be seen in the videos in
youtube of the event. |

January 2008 - The Golden Beast
In January 2008
Introspección won the contest made to find the
Opening Act for Iron Maiden(THE TROOPERS) and
participated in the Colombian Tribute to Iron Maiden
THE GOLDEN BEAST released by EMI MUSIC. The cover of
the album was done by Felipe Machado Franco(Blind
Guardian, Ayreon, Iced Earth) |

Noviembre 2007 - Festival Internacional
ALTAVOZ - Medellín iwth SEPULTURA
As a result of
their playing in Rock al Parque 2006, the band got
recomended by the majorship to represent Bogotá in
the second most important Festival in Colombia, the
ALTAVOZ festival done in the City of Medellin. The
band had the opportunity to share stage with
SEPULTURA, and one of the highlights for the band
was finding out that the Fan Club representatives
traveled to the city of Medellin to sell
Introspección's merchandise. |

August 2007 - Cruzada del Fuego VIII -
Cali
After a lot of
succesful gigs the band gets invited as headliner to
one of the most prolific events in Colombia. As the
name of the event suggest they show was full of
firethrowers which made the evening magical and
combined perfectly with the band rageous style. |

July 2007 - Metalmania Colombia
with KRISIUN
The band played
in Metalmania Colombia 2006, and they were invited
again to participate in 2007, this time alongside
the brazilian legend Krisiun. |

October 2006 - ROCK AL PARQUE 2006
After qualifying as one of the top scores for this legendary event, considered the greatest free
festival in Latin America,
Introspección had the chance of playing in front
of more than 50 thousand people, sharing stage with
bands such as Fear Factory and Death by Stereo.
Their performance was very well received, specially
because no heavymetal band had played in the event
for years, and their interpretation of the song
Carry On(Angra) is still unforgettable for some. |

March 2006 - REVEALED gets Released
After 8 years
Introspección finds their definitive line-up and
releases an album that took the country by surprise,
positioning them as one of the highlight in the
Colombian Metal Scene. Full of Speed , Virtuosism
and songs like Distant Love and Tierra en Llamas,
Revealed was catalogued as a product of exportation
by the local media, and has received excelent
reviews internationally. |

TRANSCENDING(2009)
Luego de ser teloneros de la legendaria banda IRON
MAIDEN en el año 2008, Introspección dedicó sus
esfuerzos a producir la obra que estaba siendo concebida
desde el lanzamiento de su álbum Revealed. La necesidad
de lanzar al mundo un trabajo que imprimiera huella a
nivel conceptual, lírico y musical motivó al sexteto
colombiano a entregarlo todo en la realización del
trabajo que ahora sienten que representa a Introspección
como una banda auténtica, ambiciosa y perfeccionista.
10 tracks en Inglés y uno en español integran este LP
con sonoridades que oscilan desde el Thrash hasta el
MetalCore, desde el Heavy Virtuoso hasta el Progresivo
Oscuro, desde el Folk Americano hasta el Épico Europeo,
desde la música llanera hasta la andina, todos estos
estilos apareciendo y mezclándose en un viaje lleno de
furia, pasión y nostalgia. Gran ejemplo de esto es la
canción Seventh Day, que al ser la última en ser
compuesta y al durar 10 minutos refleja todos los
elementos del álbum y la intención de la banda de
Trascender.
A diferencia de Revealed, TRANSCENDING es un trabajo en
que todos los miembros de Introspección tomaron un rol
en la composición lírica y músical, en la arreglística
de su propio instrumento, en el concepto sonoro y
visual, canciones con afinaciones más bajas en la
guitarra, la inclusión de instrumentos como el Vocoder,
el bajo de 5 cuerdas, la Guitarra Acústica, Arreglos
Corales no solo enriquecen el espectro sonoro de este
trabajo, lo hacen mucho más contundente.
Bajo la producción de César Restrepo y Victor Santafé,
el talento humano detrás de este disco incluye al
experimentado Germán Villacorta(Ozzy Osbourne, Rolling
Stones, Zack Wilde, Koyi-K-Utho, Pestilencia) quien
mezcló y masterizó Transcending en los studios LimaAV 32
en California(Estados Unidos) y el fotografo y diseñador
Adrián Prada, famoso por haberse convertido en el gurú
de los conciertos en colombia con su página
www.colombialive.com quien se encargo de la fotografía,
concepto visual y diseño del álbum.
Es así como TRANSCENDING, en todos sus aspectos fue
concebido para impulsar a cada uno de sus oyentes a no
conformarse con repetir lo que ya está hecho, en
sobreponerse al materialismo y a lo que hace a la
sociedad superficial y poco dinámica, en enfrentar la
adversidad y aprender de ella, en buscar Trascender cada
segundo de la vida.
TRANSCENDING se encuentra
a la venta en la ciudad de Bogotá en la discotienda
ROLLING DISC ubicada en el centro comercial VIA
LIBRE(Carrera 5 - Calle 19). Muy pronto estaremos
informando demás puntos de venta en el pais, e
internacionalmente.
